# Why are appointments still showing as available if I have blocked a day in Google Calendar?

If you have Google Calendar synced with TMH Suite and have created an event to block your availability, check that it is marked as **“Busy”**.

An event can appear in your calendar while still leaving that time available for bookings. This can happen with **“All-day”** events if they are set to **“Free”**.![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/4d5f6c3f-9f47-4b99-9c4c-3aa72a45680c)

**Why does this happen?**

Google Calendar distinguishes between two statuses:

● **Free:** the event appears in the calendar but does not block that time.

● **Unavailable or Busy:** the event blocks the specified period.

TMH Suite takes this availability into account when synchronising with Google Calendar. To block full days or specific time slots and prevent new bookings, the event must be marked as busy.

**How to fix it**

From your computer:

1\. Open **Google Calendar**.

2\. Select the event you want to use to block your calendar and click on the **pencil icon to edit it**.

3\. Check the dates. If you want to block the entire day, leave the **“All day”** option selected.

4\. Find the availability drop-down menu. If **“Free”** appears, change it to **“Busy”**.

5\. Click on **“Save”**.

If you are creating a new event, check this setting before saving it.![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/ff2fb128-3eb1-4c97-aa5c-e8a6a2858b54)

**Remember: selecting “All day” indicates the duration of the event; you must also make sure that its status is set to “Busy”.**

**Can I use “Out of office”?**

Yes. If this option is available in your Google Calendar account, you can also use it to indicate a period of absence.

When creating the event, select **“Out of office”**, set the dates and save the changes. Check the meeting rejection settings, as this type of event may automatically decline invitations.

**How can I check that it has been applied?**

After saving the change and once the synchronisation has updated, check the affected dates in your TMH Suite booking calendar or on your MundoPsicologos profile. The blocked period should no longer be available for new appointments.

If available time slots are still showing, check that:

● The event is in the Google Calendar linked to TMH Suite.

● The event dates and times are correct.

● The status is **“Busy”**.

● Synchronisation with Google Calendar is still active.
